Oil Production by State:  Texas=406,000,000 barrels; Alaska=356,000,000 barrels; California = 250,000,000 barrels; Louisiana=90,000,000 barrels

In 2003 there were 31 States that produced crude oil. Texas, Alaska, California, and Louisiana were the top four States in terms of production.
